The Quiet Rise of SAP SuccessFactors Specialists in India
HXM modules are now a serious hiring battleground. Inside the talent ecosystem powering SuccessFactors implementations.
Five years ago, SuccessFactors hiring in India was a niche request. Today it's one of our fastest-growing practice areas, and the talent pool has matured faster than most hiring managers realise.
Employee Central remains the anchor module, but the real shortage is in Compensation, Variable Pay and the integration layer between EC and on-premise payroll. Recruiting and Onboarding 2.0 talent is comparatively deep — many consultants moved across from Taleo and Kenexa-era backgrounds.
What's changed: a generation of HR-tech consultants who started their careers on SuccessFactors (not on-premise SAP HCM) is now hitting the 6–10 year mark. They think cloud-first, are fluent in Integration Center and SCIM-based provisioning, and don't carry the on-premise habits that slow some cloud rollouts.
If you're hiring for an HXM programme in 2026, the calibre available in India is materially better than it was even eighteen months ago. The constraint is no longer skills — it's competition for the best of them.
